Here's a few tips about choosing the perfect location:

First an foremost, I always tell couples to pick a place that is SPECIAL in some way. Maybe it's a place where you always go...or, Where did you Meet?...or have your first Kiss?...or First Date?

If none of those places work for you the next thing to consider would be ATMOSPHERE: Do you want a country setting or a beach theme? How about a Forest Preserve or River Setting? The point is, if you pick a setting you feel comfortable in, the photos will be AMAZING!

A lot of couples ask about places like Millennium Park, Botanic Gardens or Morton Arboretum. While all of those are great places, there is either parking or entrance fees or both. Places like Adler Planetarium, Wrigley Field and Buckingham Fountain have produced great shots as well. I have shot in every one of these places, more than once and gotten great photos. However, unless you can have your pictures done in the early morning, the General Public will become a part of your Engagement memories. I admit, the shots of couples with the Chicago Skyline in the background are breathtaking. However, you have to be the judge on whether or not it's worth it to deal with the general public, parking and fees. I will never discourage anyone from where they want their photos. I just want it easier for you to make an educated decision on your ideal location.
